Woodrow Wilson Broussard, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Woodrow Wilson Broussard, Sr., 90 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 18, 2012 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Loreauville, LA with Fr. Paul Ognuebe, officiating.

Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Loreauville, LA.

A gather of family and friends will be on Friday August 17, 2012 at the funeral home for a wake service 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.; visitation will resume on Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

A native and resident of Iberia Parish Mr. Broussard passed on Friday August 10, 2012 at Iberia Medical Center. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Usher Ministry; He was a Army veteran of WWII and member of Harry Eugene VFW Post 182 and American Legion Post 549; Mr. Broussard was a member of the Urban Brothers Social Club; the Knights of Peter Claver Council 195.

He leaves to cherish his memory and in God’s care his loving wife, Esther Willis Broussard of Loreauville, LA; three sons, Woodrow Broussard, Jr. of Loreauville, LA, Paul Broussard of Baton Rouge, LA; and Ray Francois (Cheryl) of Loreauville, LA; five daughters, Norma Vital (Don), Laura Antoine, of Loreauville, LA, Monica Broussard, Gwendolene Nora (Burnell) and Myra Anthony (Gerald) of Loreauville, LA; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He now joins in glory with his parents, Walter Broussard and Ida Mitchell Broussard; four brothers, Stanley Broussard, Herbert Broussard, James Broussard and Jesse Polk Broussard; three sisters, Maude Martin, Velma Broussard, and Dorothy Narcisse. Two grandson, Paul Ray Jones and Perry Polk, Jr.; one great-grandson, Kenneth Kaylon Jacob.

Active pallbearers will be, Daughters and Grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Sons-in-law, nephews, Albert L. Broussard.
