Donald James Boyance

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Donald James Boyance, 60 at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Jeanerette, LA with Rev. Dismus Mark, celebrant. He will await the resurrection at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Jeanerette, LA.

A gathering of family and friends will be at the Church 8 a.m. until the time of service with a Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m.

He was a 1971 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School. Mr. Boyance was employed at 2M Oilfield Group for 17 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory and in God’s care his loving wife, Alice Boyance of Jeanerette, LA; two sons, Dwayne Boyance of Houston, TX and Eldridge Marks, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA; six daughters, Donna Faye Boyance, Krystal Boyance Gilliam (Alonzo) of New Iberia, LA, Pamela Payton, Darlene Berard (James), Andrea Brooks (Robert, Sr.) and Tricia Washington (Allen) all of Jeanerette, LA; his father Nolan Boyance of New Iberia, LA; two sisters, Sandra B. Hall (Angelo) of New Iberia, LA and Cassandra Cannon (Joseph) of Texas; mother-in-law, Jessie Mae Clay of Jeanerette, LA; his brother-in-law, Dr. Earl Washington, Jr. of Breaux Bridge, LA; sisters-in-law, Dianna C. Marks (Roy P. Sr.), Linda Ann Lewis (Edward, Jr.) and Veronica Clay all of Jeanerette, LA; godmother, Dorothy “Granny” Kennedy of New Iberia, LA; sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He now joins in glory with his mother, Lovenia S. Boyance; his twin-sister, Dianne B. Washington; brothers-in-law, Arthur Clay, Jr., and Sandis Clay, Sr., and father-in-law, Arthur Clay, Sr.

Active pallbearers will be, Roy P. Marks, Jr., Eldridge Marks, Jr., Robert Brooks, Sr., Sandis Clay, Jr., Titus Trim, Michael Lewis and Brandon Constantine.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Edward Lewis, Sr., Roy P. Marks, Sr., Dwayne Boyance, Allen Washington, Alonzo Gilliam, Norwood Brown, Ronald Batiste, Douglas Miller, Rocky Leonard, Wendell Marks, Sr., 2M Crew members, and Rodney Marks.
