Funeral arrangements for Jessie Mae de’Clouet, 88 will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at St. Peter United Methodist Church, Jeanerette, LA with Rev. Junius Egby, Jr. officiating. She will await the resurrection at St. Peter United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jeanerette, LA.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, at the church, 8 a.m. until the time of service.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, LA Mrs. de’Clouet passed at 11:20 a.m.on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at her residence. She was a member of St. Peter United Methodist Church where she served in the Choir, a member of Lucinda Pierre Chapter No. 32 OES, and also the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary Post #549, and a member of the Foster Grandparent Program for 19 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Woman; Vice-President of the St. Peter Mixed Chorus; Assistant Worship Committee Chairperson; Assistant Decorating Committee Chairperson; Assistant Chairperson Outreach Committee. Mrs. DeClouet served as Chairperson of the Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee until this year when she could no longer do her duty because of her illness.

She leaves to cherish her memories and in God’s care three sons, Mayor Timothy St. Clair de’Clouet, Cornell de’Clouet, Sr., (Joanna) and Bobby Lee de’Clouet all of Jeanerette, LA; three daughters, Gwendolyn D. Hall (Tommie Lee), Diann de’Clouet, and Pamela de’Clouet also of Jeanerette, LA; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

She now joins in glory with her husband, Demetry Joseph de’Clouet; parents, Valree Landor and Pennie Washington Reed Landor; three brothers, O’neal Landor, Morris Landor and Herbert Landor; six sisters, Sally Landor, Beatrice Paul, Annie Mae Johnson, Julia Dugas, O’Leana Haynes, and Florence Anderson.

Active Pallbearers will be, Ronald Porter, William Winters, Cornell de’Clouet, Jr., John Joseph, Mayor Timothy de’Clouet and Cornell de’Clouet, Sr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Bobby Lee de’Clouet, Tommy Lee Hall, Eugene Harmon, Jr., Ron Rochelle DeRouen, Quincy Sereal, T’Jon Hamilton de’Clouet, Lloyd Dugas, Demarcus Randal, and Demetry Jose’ De’Clouet.
